Risk Management – What the Standards Fail to Tell You!

Rai Chowdhary, CEO, The KPI System

SLC city Library, 210 E 400 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111, Conference Room C

While standards and regulations require organizations to manage risk, the approach and effectiveness of doing risk management varies widely. Many factors contribute, ranging from mindsets, to processes, SOPs, training/know-how, and the relentless change we see in the life science sector.

Get an introduction to the risk-based thinking and mindsets we carry, explore some of the standards and regulatory requirements, examine case studies, delve into essential terms and their interpretation (from hazards and failure modes to risk and harm), and uncover the missing elements in the cause-and-effect chain that create risk. Select points covered are from ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, ISO 14971, IEC 62366, and MDSAP.
