Process Mapping: From Soup to Nuts
In this presentation on process mapping, we’ll delve into the art of visually mapping out workflows and processes and the wastes that can be involved in this waste removing exercise. Process mapping, also known as a flowchart or workflow diagram, provides a concise and straightforward representation of how a process works and sometimes we lose sight of the end result. By identifying the steps involved, understanding responsibilities, and pinpointing inefficiencies, participants will gain insights into powerful, yet simple, process improvement tool.

Jason Neff
Jason Neff is the Director of Production and Supply Chain, for O.C. Tanner in Salt Lake City, UT. Before joining Tanners, Jason was the Assistant Vice President of Continuous Improvement at Intermountain Health and worked for 13 years to helped create, and manage the Intermountain Operating Model (IOM), the framework for improvement and operational excellence.
Before healthcare, Jason worked as an aerospace engineer where he was trained and certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt from Northrup Grumman, and ASQ, and certified Lean/Operational Excellence from Boeing. He has been a member of ASQ since 2010. Jason holds a Masters in Engineering from the University of Utah and a Bachelors in Physics from Brigham Young University.
